Research Topics

The motivation for our research group arises from the fundamental interest in novel organometallic species derived from the combination of main group elements, particularly boron, and transition metals. Much emphasis lies with the elucidation of the detailed electronic structure and reactivity patterns of such new compounds, thus enabling their possible applications in organic synthesis, catalysis or materials science. Hence, sophisticated techniques of organometallic synthesis as well as state of the art analytical and computational methods are commonly applied in our group to achieve these goals.
